Whenever you transfer swings from your sensor, you have the opportunity to tag each swing. A tag can be anything that allows you to determine what type of throw it was (Game, Practice, Front Row, etc.). Tagging swings allows for better workload estimation when simulating data, better clarity when viewing trends over time, and augments many of the analytical tools available on motusDASH (See: Subscribing to motusDASH).
Whenever you see the TAG button, you can tap on it to assign a tag. For singular swings, you can apply a single tag. At the bottom of each tag list, tap + Add Option to create your own custom tag. Your tags can be broken down into as many levels as you like.
For groups of events -- such as during a large data sync (See: Syncing Your motusVB Sensor Data) or Roster Transfer (See: Syncing Team Data as a Coach (Roster Transfer)) -- you can apply a single tag to the entire group of swings, or you can apply a Tag Sequence. A Tag Sequence allows you to define an order of tags to apply to incoming swings. For example, you could create a Tag Sequence that consists of 10 Warmup swings, followed by 10 Deep Court Serves, followed by 5 Short Court Serves, followed by 20 Game swings. As the data is transferred from the sensor, each swing is assigned a tag in order based on your Tag Sequence.
